Abstract
The research about characteristics frequency of cells Saccharomyces cereviseae at dielectrophoresis process by using configuration of point electrode and plane u had been done. Medium which used to put samples and electrode were Aquades. Size of point electrode has diameter 0.2 mm and u electrode has length 4 mm with plane that opposite each other and has length of 2 mm. Electric field with AC voltage resource were produced from signal generator by using voltages (5.2; 5.7; 6.2; 6.7; and 7.2) volts and frequencies (200; 400; 600; 800; 1000; 1200; 1400; 1600; 1800; and 2000) Hz. Observation had been done by used microscope with 200 times large which paired CCD vidio and the result had recorded on laptop for 10 second. The result of this research showed that minimum voltage which capable to moved Saccharomyces cereviseae was 7.2 volts. Characteristic frequency from Saccharomyces cereviseae was 1800 Hz. Speed of Saccharomyces cereviseae which has radius 0.04 mm was 0.13 mm / s while has radius 0.07 mm was 0.14 mm/s.
