Abstract

Sampah adalah suatu yang tidak digunakan, tidak dipakai, tidak disenangi atau sesuatu yang dibuang, yang berasal dari kegiatan manusia dan tidak terjadi dengan sendirinya. Sampah organik rumah tangga banyak mengandung sisa makanan dan sampah dapur. Salah satu cara pengolahan sampah adalah dengan pengomposan, proses dipercepat dengan penambahan decomposer (EM4) dan detritus feeder (cacing Lumbricus rubellus). Tujuan penelitian menganalisis perbedaan afektifitas EM4, cacing Lumbricus rubellus dan campuran keduanya dalam menguraikan sampah organik menjadi kompos dengan indikator penurunan berat dan C/N rasio kompos. Penelitian ini adalah eksperimen dengan jenis penelitian explanatory research (penelitian penjelasan), rancangan penelitian pre test post test countrol group desain. Sampel adalah sampah rumah tangga yang mudah membusuk. Hasil penelitian, kadar C/N rasio kontrol 11,7, lebih baik C/N ratio perlakuan. Terjadi penurunan berat sampah pada kontrol dan variasi perlakuan. Prosentase penurunan berat sampah dengan perlakuan EM4 mengalami penurunan lebih tinggi (76,2%). Uji statistik One Way Anova alfa=0,05. Hasil tidak ada perbedaan C/N rasio kompos antara kontrol dan ke-3 variasi (p>0,05) dan tidak ada perbedaan penurunan berat kompos antara kontrol dan ke-3 variasi (p>0,05). Dinas kebersihan perlu melakukan sosialisasi dan pengolahan sampah organik rumah tangga tanpa penambahan EM4 ataupun cacing. Bagi masyarakat di komplek perumahan Dwi Ratna dapat mengolah sampah organik rumah tangga dar dapur dengan cara pengomposan bagi peneliti lain perlu dilakukan penelitian dihubungkan dengan waktu terjadinya kompos. Kata Kunci: sampah organik, kompos, EM4, cacing Lumbricus rubellus EFFECTIVENESS OF EFFECTIVE MICROORGANISMS (EM4), LUMBRICUS RUBELLUS WORM AND BOTH MIXTURE IN ELABORATE HOUSEHOLD ORGANIC GARBAGE BECOME COMPOST Garbage represent something which not be used, or something that thrown away, come from human activity and doesn't happened by itself. Household organic garbage may contain many pigswill and kichen garbage. One of the way to handling garbage is with composting, the process quickned by adding decomposer (EM4) and detritus feeder (Lumbricus rubellus worm). Research aim is to analyzed the difference of EM4, Lumbricus rubellus worm and both mixture effectiveness in elaborate organic garbage to be compost with indicator weight depreciation and C/N compost ratio. This was experimental research with explanatory research type and pre test post test countrol group design. Sample used are household garbage. Result, degree of C/N ratio control is 11,7, beter than C/N ratio treatment. There were depreciation of weigt in control and treatment variation. Treatment with EM4 have depreciation (76,2%) higher than other treatments.The statistical test result, One Way Anova (alfa=0,05), there was no C/N compost ratio difference between control and third variation (p>0,05) and there was no compost weight depreciation difference between control and treatment (p>0,05). It was suggested for cleanliness official to socialized the composting of household organic garbage processing without adding EM4 and or worm. For the community at Dwi Ratna housing can handling household organic garbage from the kitchen by composting. For other researcher, it is necessary to do research related to time the compost become.
