Abstract

Comprehensive Emergency Neonatal Obstetric Services (CENOS) are efforts of comprehensive services at a hospital to overcome cases of emergency neonatal obstetric in which those activities consist of whole Basic Emergency Neonatal Obstetric Services, blood transfusion. Caesar surgery, and intensively neonatal care. Those activities must be conducted because Maternal Mortality Rate and Neonatal Mortality Rate in Rembang District are still very high compared with other district in Central Java. Some factors influencing implementation of CENOS are knowledge, work period, leadership, reward, policy, and attitude. Aim of this research was to find out more information about factors that influenced work performance of health of health workers in providing Comprehensive Emergency Neonatal Obstetric Services at dr. R. Soetrasno Public Hospital in Rembang. This was qualitative research using descriptive-analytic approach and Focus Group Discussion (FGD) method. Activity of FGD was conducted to seven persons. They were Coordinator Midwife, Midwife at childbirth room, Nurse at ‘Peristi’ room, Obstetrician, Medical Doctor at Emergency Room, Anasthesia Nurse, Laboratory Officer. In-depth interview was conducted to five persons who were Head of Medical Service Departement, Head of CENOS Team, and two health Workers. Beside that, observation was done towards availability of means, equipments, and medicines using checklist completed by Medical Record and result of activities. Result of this research shows that the factors shows that the factors of knowledge, work period, leadership, reward, policy, and attitude influence work performance of Health Workers in implementing CENOS. The activity of CENOS was begun in 2000 and supported by UNICEF. In 2005, Local Budget of Rembang District supported the funding. Decree of Hospital Director about the tasks as CENOS officer had been made in that year but the implementation had not been done optimally. Sumber Utama : www.mikm.undip.ac.id
