Abstract

Indonesia merupakan daerah yang beriklim tropis yang kadang pada saat musim panas manusia ingin kenyamanan, yaitu untuk menciptakan kondisi udara yang nyaman bagi orang yang berada di dalam suatu ruangan, disini yang diberi penyegar ruangan atau AC adalah ruang teknisi Balai Karya yang memiliki kapasitas ruangan sedang maka AC yang dipakai adalah AC Split. Dalam tugas akhir ini penulis akan merencanakan perhitungan beban AC Split tersebut. Beban kalor total pada AC (GTH) dihitung berdasarkan jumlah beban kalor sensibel dan jumlah beban kalor laten. Beban sensibel antara lain: beban kalor radiasi matahari melalui dinding, atap, langit-langit dan kaca, beban kalor yang ditimbulkan oleh lampu, beban kalor dari orang, dan beban kalor lainya yang berada didalam ruangan. Sedangkan beban kalor laten bersumber dari beban kalor orang dan infiltrasi. Proses perencanaan perhitungan beban AC Split dimulai dengan merencanakan suhu udara yang terkandung di dalam ruang teknisi balai karya (suhu ruangan diasumsikan 25 ), sedangkan suhu luar ruangan benar-benar diukur dengan menggunakan hygrometer didapat suhu sebesar - . Dari hasil perhitungan perencanaan beban AC didapat jumlah beban total (GTH) sebesar 20682,13 Btu/ hr dan temperatur udara suplai ( sebesar 14,5 ºF. Sehingga AC yang dipasang 1,5 PK. Dari hasil pengujian AC terpasang udara luar dan udara dalam diukur dengan menggunakan hygrometer. Didapat suhu dalam ruangan sebesar dan suhu luar ruangan sebesar , maka beban kalor total (GTH) didapat sebesar 16220.71 Btu/hr dan temperatur udara suplai ( sebesar 14,5 ºF.
