Analisis Faktor-Faktor Yang Mempengaruhi Peningkatan Daya Saing Klaster Mebel Di Kabupaten Jepara” (Studi Kasus di Mulyoharjo dan Senenan)

Abstract

Abstrak Indonesia dikenal sebagai salah satu negara eksportir furniture terbesar di dunia. Pada awal tahun 2000, Indonesia masuk dalam urutan ke 15 diantara eksportir furnitur di dunia. Data dari Kamar Dagang dan Industri Indonesia (KADIN) menunjukkan pada tahun 2006 posisi ekspor produk furnitur Indonesia di dunia berada pada peringkat 8 dengan urutan dari peringkat tertinggi Cina, Kanada, Meksiko, Itali, Vietnam, Malaysia, dan Taiwan. Jawa Tengah adalah provinsi yang memiliki pangsa pasar furnitur sebesar 31-35% terhadap total ekspor nasional sehingga menjadikan Jawa Tengah produsen furnitur kedua terbesar setelah Jawa Timur yang menyumbang sekitar 46-50% industri furnitur secara nasional. Perkembangan ekspor furnitur Jawa Tengah selama empat tahun berfluktuasi tetapi cenderung menurun. Keadaan ini disebabkan oleh krisis dunia yang terjadi belakangan ini. Oleh karena itu untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk-produk mebel tersebut maka daya saing sentra juga harus ditingkatkan. Di Jawa Tengah terdapat beberapa kabupaten yang menjadi produsen industri furnitur. Salah satunya adalah Kabupaten Jepara. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi daya saing industri furnitur sehingga dapat diambil kebijakan yang dapat digunakan untuk meningkatkan daya saing industri furnitur Indonesia khususnya Jawa Tengah di pasar luar negeri. Penelitian ini menggunakan Structural Equation Model sebagai tools yang berfungsi untuk menguji model diamond porter ditambah variabel modal sosial dan menganalisa faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi daya saing. Namun, jumlah ukuran populasi yang digunakan pada penelitian ini kecil, sehingga digunakan metode PLS (Partial Least Square). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa daya saing di Sentra industri mebel dipengaruhi oleh variabel dalam diamond porter yaitu industri pendukung dan terkait, kondisi permintaan, kesempatan, dan variabel tambahan yaitu modal sosial. Abstract Indonesia is known as one of the nation's largest furniture exporter in the world. In early 2000, Indonesia was ranked 15th among furniture exporters in the world. Data from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN) showed in 2006 the position of Indonesian furniture exports in the world ranked eighth in the order of the highest ranking of China, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Taiwan. Central Java is a province that has the furniture market share of 31-35% of total national exports making Central Java after the second-largest furniture manufacturer in East Java which accounts for about 46-50% of national furniture industry. Development of Central Java furniture exports for four years fluctuated but tended to decline. This situation is caused by the world crisis that happened lately. Therefore, to improve the competitiveness of these products then the competitiveness of the furniture centers should also be enhanced. In Central Java there are some districts who produces furniture industry. One is the district of Jepara. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors affecting the competitiveness of the furniture industry in order to take policies that can be used to improve the competitiveness of Indonesian furniture industry of Central Java especially in overseas markets. This study used Structural Equation Models as tools that serve to test the diamond model porter plus social capital variables and analyze the factors that affect competitiveness. However, the total population size used in this study is small, so the method is used PLS (Partial Least Square). The results showed that competitiveness in the furniture industry center is influenced by variables in the porter diamond and related supporting industries, demand conditions, opportunities, and additional variables namely social capital.
