Abstract

Problems encountered in the world of work is the behavior or actions that often ignore the values of ethics and morals. It is important for students entering the workforce to be sensitive to ethical issues. This study aims to determine the effect of Machiavellian nature and moral development on dysfunctional behavior in accounting students. This study used purposive sampling method with a survey approach. Data was collected by using a questionnaire distributed to respondents who have been chosen as samples in this study. Method in this study using multiple linear regression analysis. Data was analyzed by SPSS. Results in this study show that students' Machiavellian nature has a positive and significant impact on dysfunctional behavior and moral development has a negative and significant impact on dysfunctional behavior.
