Nowdays, modern market that has grown quite rapidly in Indonesia is a minimarket with a franchise concept. Development of minimarket has potency to abuse dominant position. The deployment of minimarket also has entered the residential areas. The rapidly developing minimarket located closely in residential areas has a bad impact for the traditional stores. Omzet of sales and business profit are getting down. Based on the reasons, this study aims to analyze change in business profit of the traditional stores with the existence of minimarket (case study in Pedurungan district of Semarang City). This study uses primary data collected through direct interviews to the respondents with a list of prepared questions. There are 100 respondents in Pedurungan district, that became the object of research. For the purpose, this study uses multiple regression analysis with Ordinary Least Squared (OLS) approach. The result of Ordinary Least Square analysis is to explain the influence change in business profit of the traditional stores with the existence of minimarket in Pedurungan district of Semarang City. This analysis uses independent variables namely change in omzet of sales (X1), distance (X2), and product diversification (X3) that influence change in business profit (π) from a traditional stores. The result of analysis shows that change in omzet of sales (0,0000) and distance (0,0653)* significantly influence change in business profit. Whereas, product diversification (0,3147) has no significant effect on changes in business profit of the traditional stores. Note : (*) in alpha 10%.
