Abstract

Productivity will be higher if supported by higher employee performance. Companies will be able to survive in global competition. There are several factors that influence the performance of employees include: motivation and organizational commitment, so the purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of work motivation and organizational commitment to employee performance in finance at the Local Government Demak regency. Collecting data using primary data collection, the questionnaire using purposive sampling technique. This study sampled as many as 89 employees of the financial sector in Demak regency administration. The result of the conclusion of this research work motivation and organizational commitment have a significant effect on employee performance. Regression coefficient on the variable organizational commitment has the greatest contribution than the value of motivational variables. Figures show 38.4% coefficient of determination jointly affect the performance of financial sector employees. While the rest can be explained by other variables explained 61.6% outside the model.
