Abstract

Air adalah media yang mempunyai resiko cukup besar terjadinya penyakit bawaan air (water borne disease) dan penyakit bawaan makanan (food borne disease). Pengolahan air harus dilakukan sebagai upaya pemutus rantai penularan penyakit khususnya yang dibawa oleh air. Beberapa cara disinfeksi adalah fisik (pemanasan),radiasi (sinar ultraviolet),ozon,pembubuhan kimia. Jumlah usaha depot air minum isi ulang mengalami peningkatan sehingga perlu ada pengawasan mulai dari bahan baku. Salah satu depot air minum isi ulang di Klaten adalah Hastaco. Oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan penelitian tentang perbedaan pengolahan Ultraviolet (UV)Desinfection dan ozonisasi terhadap angka MPN coliform air minum isi ulang Hastaco Klaten. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan Ultraviolet (UV)Desinfection dan ozonisasi terhadap angka MPN coliform air minum isi ulang Hastaco Klaten. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan rancangan pretest-postest with control group design. Sampel penelitian yaitu sejumlah air yang diambil menggunakan botol sampel pada bak penampungan sebelum masuk UV dan Ozolisasi dengan volume 100 ml dan 10 ml diambil pada bak penampungan air setelah masuk UV dan Ozonisasi,pengambilan sampel masing-masing dilakukan pengulangan sebanyak 16 kali. Analisis data menggunakan uji Wilcoxom, Mann-Whitney, dan Kruskall-Wallis.Air hasil pengolahan dengan menggunakan ultraviolet dan ozonisasi belum memenuhi syarat Permenkes No.907/SK/VII/2002 tentang persyaratan kualitas air minum,bahwa dalam 100 ml air angka MPN Coliform adalah 0 (nol). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masih terdapatnya Kandungan MPN coliform setelah perlakuan dengan ultraviolet sebesar 15 coloni/100 ml sampel air dan 9 coloni/ml sampel setelah perlakuan ozonisasi. Terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna antara pengolahan sistem Ultraviolet Desinfection dengan ozonisasi terhadap penurunan angka MPN coliform (p=0,0001). Several methods of disinfection are physical (heating), radiation (ultraviolet ray), ozon, chemical substances,etc. Recenty, there was a growing up of revill drinking water. So, it needs a monitoring. One of the refill drinking water in seriously Klaten is Hastaco. Which produce water for publics uses. The aim of this research was to know the difference between Ultraviolet (UV) Desinfection and Ozonisation in decreasing MPN coliform in "Hastaco" refill drinking water in Klaten. This was a quasi experimental research using pretest-posttest with control group design. Sample was water which was taken using a sample bottle in collecting and sawing water container before entering UV and Ozonisation with volume 100 ml and after entering UV and Ozonisation with volume 100 ml. Samples was taken repeatly 16 times. Data was analyzed using Wilcoxon, Mann-Whitney, and kruskal-Wallis test. The result of the research shows that there is significant difference of coliform content between after treated by ultraviolet Desinfection (UV) and Ozonisation system in decreasing of MPN Coliform (p=0,0001). Industrialist should actively test a quality of drinking water which is producted especially bacteriological, physical, and chemical test. Operating of instrument for Ultraviolet Desinfection should use a ray with length of wave 200-290 nm which is the effective ray and minimal contact time is 30 second.
