Abstract
Homosexuals have been the minority in society that the majority of heterosexual sexual orientation. Homosexuals (gays and lesbians) have been regarded as second class people. Homosexuality is seen as a deviant sexual orientation so that many members of these people get the a bit poor treatment from public. Discrimination and prejudice attached to these people because the community has been developing heteronormatifitas the ideology that requires men and women are subject to the rules of hetero sexuality which is essentially a procreative function of sexuality. Lesbian as part of homosexuals has a double burden because of her status as homosexuals and women. Patriarchal culture that developed in the community and heteronormativitas which has been used as the "right" standard of sexual orientation in society, making these people appear more closed. Considering this, the study of how lesbians communicate and negotiate their identity to heterosexual society becomes very necessary to know what's that will become obstacles in interacting with society. This study of identity negotiation allows the researcher to reveal how lesbians identify themselves, communicate with families and communities, and negotiate their identity as a woman at once as homosexual. In identifying herself as a lesbian and communicate with the public at large, there are various factors that influence such as the tendency of inner self as well as interacting experience with the family and the environment.
