FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI TINGKAT KONSUMSI AIR BERSIH PDAM TIRTA BUANA KABUPATEN MERANGIN PROVINSI JAMBI

Abstract

Air merupakan kebutuhan pokok manusia yang mutlak harus dipenuhi untuk kalangsungan hidupnya.Konsumsi air yang tidak sesuai dengan kebutuhan dapat menimbulkan permasalahan bagi kesehatan, karena dapat menimbulkan berbagai penyakit (water washed). PDAM mempunyai peranan yang cukup strategis dalam memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi air bersih masyarakat. untuk itu air yang diproduksinya harus memenuhi syarat kesehatan, sehingga aman dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat konsumsi air bersih PDAM Tirta Buana Kabupaten Merangin Provinsi Jambi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian penjelasan Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pelanggan PDAM Tirta Buana yang berjumlah 98. penelitian ini menggunakan uji statistik RAnk Spearmans dengan taraf kesalahan 0,005. Dari hasil uji statistik menunjukan ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara tingkat pendapatan, jumlah anggota keluarga dan kualitas pelayanan PDAM terhadap Tingkat Konsumsi Air Bersih PDAM. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukan tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara tingkat pendidikan dan harga air bersih dengan Tingkat Konsumsi Air Bersih PDAM. Bagi PDAM disarankan untuk memperhatikan faktor-faktor jumlah anggota keluarga, tingkat pendapatan pelanggan dan kualitas pelayanan PDAM dalam menentukan strategi peningkatan pelayanan di PDAM Tirta Buana Kabupaten Merangin. Kata Kunci: Air Bersih, PDAM, Konsumsi air SOME FACTORS EFFECTING THE LEVEL OF CLEAN WATER CONSUMPTION AT TIRTA BUANA MUNICIPAL WATERWORKS IN MERANGIN REGENCY OF JAMBI PROVINCE Water is a main needs for human that must be absolutely fulfilled for their life perpetuity. A water consumption which is not appropriate whith the needs may causes health problems, since it may causes some diseases. Municipal waterworks has a strategical role in fulfilling the society's needs of clean water consumption. therefore, the produced water must fulfill the health requrements, so that it can be consumed saffety by society. the aim of the research was to know abaut some factors effecting the level of clean water consumptions at Tirta Buana Municipal Waterworks in Merangin Regency Of Jambi Province. The research was an explanotary research with cross sectional approach and survey mathod. sample in the research was the customer of Tirta Buana Municipal Waterworks in the amount of 98 people. the research used the correlation betwen the income level, the amount familly member, and service quality of municipal waterworks with the level of clean consumption. the result also indicates thet there is no real and significans corelation between the education level, and yhe costumer's perception abot the water cost with the level ot clean water consumption. it suggested for municipal waterworks Tirta Bauna to pay attention to some factor like the abaout familly member, the level of costumer income and service quality in providing for clean water services to the customers.
