Abstract
Di desa Gabus terdapat sumur rata-rata berkedalaman 20 meter. Sebagai sumur airnya tampak keruh dan berwarna kemerahan, terutama di dukuh Made Wetan sepanjang jalan Paldaplang-Tangen. Kadar kekeruhan yang tinggi diakibatkan ikut tercampurnya zat padat pada air dalam bentuk suspensi, jasad renik baik yang hidup maupun yang sudah mati, begitu pula partikel-partikel tanah / lumpur yang larut dalam air. Kekeruhan bisa merusak estetika dan mengawatirkan bagi kesehatan pemekai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui diameter zeolit yang paling efektif dalam menurunkan kadar kekeruhan air sumur. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Quasi Eksperiment dengan rancangan Pretest dan Post Test Control Group Design. Perlakuan gradasi dilakukan dengan empat variasi diameter zeolit serta satu perlakuan tanpa pemberian zeolit, sedangkan pengulangan sebanyak lima kali. Sampel diambil dari air sumur gali di dukuh Made Wetan, Desa Gabus. Pengolahan dan analisa data dengan menggunakan komputer. Hasil penelitian menunjukan kadar kekeruhan sebelum perlakuan berkisar antara 27,95 NTU sampai 28,34 NTU, sedangkan setelah perlakuan terjadi penurunan rata-rata kadar kekeruhan menjadi 1,98 NTU sampai 0,64 NTU. Berdasarkan uji statistik diketahui terdapat perbedaan kemampuan dari gradasi diameter zeolit dalam menurunkan kadar kekeruhan pada air sumur. Diameter paling efektif secara statistik adalah 4 mm. Beberapa lama kadar zeolit masih dapat digunakan lagi dalam menurunkan kadar kekeruhan air sumur, perlu adanya penelitian lebih lanjut. Diharap penelitian yang akan datang lebih menyempurnakan penelitian ini. Some well water look at dirty and squeezing chromatic. Especially in Made Wetan a long way Paldaplang-Tangen. High turbidity resulted by mixed solid matter at the water suspention, microorganism of both for life or die, also ground particle or mud in the water. Turbidity can destroy the esthetics and worry for health user. The research aim to know the most zeolite diameter effective to bring down rate of turbidity well water. Research type is quasi experiment with pretest and post test the control group design. Gradation treatment done with four variation of zeolite diameter also one treatment without zeolite, while repetition is five times. Sampel taken away from ground water in Dukuh Made Wetan. Gabus vilage. Data processing was done by computer. Result of the research shows that rate of turbidity before treatment is 27,95 NTU until 28,34 NTU. After treatment, rate of turbidity decrease become 1,98 NTU until 0,64 NTU. Based on statistical test known that difference ability for each gradation of zeolite diameter to bring down rate of turbidity at well water. The most effective diameter is 4 mm. How long decreasing zeolit still can used egain in decreasing turbidity well water neet continuety research. Expectanly the researchers for future get perfect more than this research.
