Abstract

Absorption is one of the separation process by mixing with a liquid gas mixture as absorbance absorption aim is to determine the effect of NaOH concentration on the formation of Na2CO3. The more the concentration of NaOH, the concentration of Na2CO3 is also more and more and also more and more CO2 is absorbed. Based on existing data, can be seen that the greater the concentration of NaOH, the greater the concentration of Na2CO3 is formed. In addition, the greater the concentration the greater the total CO2 is absorbed, is due to the increasing concentration of NaOH, the mass amount of NaOH increased, so that the particles in solution and cause too much CO2 is absorbed in NaOH solution more and more and at the same concentration concentration Na2CO3 at the outlet is greater than the inlet because the inlet formed mixed back with the solution in the tank. While at the same concentration and different times not. In this experiment using NaOH solution to absorb CO2 and obtained the optimum time 40minut, the optimum flow rate of 0.52 mol / l, the optimum concentration of NaOH 0.8 N.
