Abstract
Air limbah rumah sakit pada umumnya mengandungmikroorganisme, bahan kimia, dan bahan radioaktif, sehingga apabila tidak diolah terlebih dahulu akan memberikan dampak negatif berupa gangguan terhadap kesehatan.Rumah sakit islam surakarta mempunyai instalasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL) namun belum diketahui efektifitasnya. tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui efektifitas instalasi pengolahan air limbah (IPAL) Rumah Sakit Islam surakarta dalam menurunkan kadar amoniak dan phosphat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. sampel diambil 7 hari pengambilan pada fluktuasi debit tertinggi dan terendah. hasil pemeriksaan rat-rata kadar amoniak untuk fluktuasi terendah untuk inlet adalah 1,20 mg/l dan outlet 0,88 mg/l, sedangkan fluktuasi tertinggi untuk inlet adalah 1,47 mg/l dan outlet adalah 0,87 mg/l. untuk penurunan kadar amoniak pada fluktuasi terendah adalah 26, 7% dan pada fluktuasi tertinggi adalah 40,8%.sedangkan kadar phospat rata-rata pada fluktuasi terendah untuk inlet adalah 9,64 mg/l sedangkan outlet 8,96 mg/l. untuk penurunan kadar phosphat pada fluktuasi terendah adalah 7,05% dan pada fluktuasi tertinggi adalah 8,66%. dan rata-rata selama 7 hari sebesar 9,01 mg/l. Uji statistik yang dipakai adalah uji paired sample T-Test. hasil uji statistik menunjukan tidak ada perbedaan yang bermakna kadar amoniak dan Phosphat perhari sebelum dan sesudah diolah dan uji statistik keseluruhan selama 7 hari menunjukan ada perbedaan bermakna kadar amoniak (p=0,0001) serta kadar Phosphat (p=0,0001). Hasil pengolahan tersebut masih diatas baku mutu limbah cair yang ditetapkan oleh PERDA Propinsi Jawa Tengah no. 10 tahun 2004 tentang baku mutu limbah cair rumah sakit di Jawa Tengah. Pengolahan Mikroorganisme perlu dilakukan dan perlunya penambahan pengolahan seperti aerasi sehingga air limbah yang dihasilkan tidak membahayakan lingkungan. Kata Kunci: Efektifitas, IPAL, NH3, PO4, Rumah Sakit Islam Surakarta STUDY OF EFFECTIVENESS OF LIQUID WASTE PROCESSING INSTALLATION IN DECREASING THE CONTENT OF AMMONIA AND PHOSPHATE AT SURAKARTA ISLAMIC HOSPITAL Hospital liquid waste generally comprises microorganism, chemical compounds, and radioactive material, which may, without foregoing processing, bring negative effects, such as health distrurbance. Surakarta Islamic Hospital has a liquid Waste Processing Installation (IPAL), however, its evektifeness is not exsplored yet. The aim of this study is to investigate the effectiveness of liquid waste processing Instalation (IPAL) of Surakarta Islamic in decreasing the content of amonia and phosphate. Observasional method was used with cross sectional approach. sample were taken 7 days samplings on the higest and lowerst debit fluctuations. the mean values of measurement on the contains of NH3 on the lowerst and the higest fluctuation were attained 1,20 mg/l inlet and 0,88 mg/l outlet, and 1,47 mg/l inlet an 0,87 mg/l outlet, restpectively. the contain of NH3 was decreasing 26,7% and 40,8% at the lowerst and higest fluctuation, respectively. The average content of PO4 were actived on 9,64 mg/l inlet and 8,96 mg/l outlet, and 9,92 mg/l inlet and 9,09 mg/l outlet for the lowerst and higest fluctuation, resvectively. The content of PO4 was decressing 7,05% and 8,66% on the lowerts and higest fluctuation, respectively, whith the average 7 days content of 9,01 mg/l. Paired Sampel T-Test was used as the statistical test. The result shows no significant difference, before and after processed, on daily content of NH3, and the total statistical test for 7 days shows a significant difference on the content of the content of NH3 (p=0001) and content of PO4 (p=0,0001). The yield of process is still higher than quality standard value of liquid waste determined by PERDA Central Java Province no. 10 2004 about the quality standard of hospital liquid waste on Central Java. Microorganism processing is needed to be carried out; and futher process, such as aeration, is highly important in order to the sorrouding area.
