Abstract

Akibat dace peningkatan kegiatun peinbaimunaii di wilayait Genuk Kotainadva Semarang diduga memberikan pengaruh pada pentirunan kualitas pc:caftan muara Babon. Untuk kondisi perairan akibat pei,;..2kutau pombangunan di wilayah pesisir Genuk tersebut. perlu dilakukan penclitian tentang status dan karaktoristik perairan inuara babou berdasa rkan sifat biolo6 peraran. Struktur komunitas jenisAnakrozoobentbos memberikan kontribusi sebesar 43,0 % pada sumbu 1 dan 21.9 °A pada sumbu 2 dad SCIuruli ragant totalityn. Terdapat dun kelompok stas'un yang masiug,-masing, dioirikan sifat clan karakter .jonis makrozoobontbos yang berbecia. Hal ini rnengi aditcasikan acianya asosiasi atau keterkaitan antar kelompok atnu inclividu terhadap habitatnya. Sedangkan kondisi perairan termasuk tingkat moderat (seclang) dan clal ni keadnan stabil. Tindak kaji darn basil penelitian ini adalah pc:num-a di'akukan penelitian lanjut dalam ;mishit yang be-rbeda (antar muslin), dan bola pasang surat, serta monitoring yang kontinyu. The increased development in Genulc district, Semarang regency resulted in the degradation of water quality has in Babon estuary_ in order to examine the above condition, research was therefore necessary particularly on the biological characteristic of the water. The objectives or the result were to determine (I) status of the water based on the physical , chemical properties, (2) spatial distribution (based on correspondent analysis) of macrozoobenthos as an 'ndicator of waters condition in terms of its biological characteristic. The result showed that the status of Babon estuary had been polluted some water quality parameters such as turbidity, suspended solids; Bioheal Oxigen Demand (BOD5), and Sulfids (142S). Corespondent analysis on the macrozoobenthos indicated that 43,0 % of population was in the I st axis and 21,9 % in the 2 ad axis. There were 2 groups of station which were each characteristic by the different type organism. Ths indicated that there was assiation between groups of organism and their habitat. Whereas, the valuation of waters condition based on the indices of diversity (El') and eveness (E) showed that the waters was in moderate level and it was stable al.:aitist its community. It was suggested that further research is indispensable to be conducted in dellerent season and taken into account of tidal range, and monitoring.
