PENGARUH CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY TERHADAP KINERJA KEUANGAN PERUSAHAAN “(Studi Empiris pada Perusahaan Perbankan yang Terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia Tahun 2005 - 2008)

Abstract

Aim of this research was to examine CSR disclosure influence concerning financial performance within banking company. This research is motivated by the fact that there is a lower level of activities of CSR and its disclosure and also mixed results from previous research. This research used Ordinary Least Square (OLS) which includes regression I model (using ROE as dependent variable proksi of financial performance and control variable of laverage, size and growth) model of regression II (using Realized Return as dependent variable proksi of financial performance and control variable of laverage, size, beta, growth and unexpected return)in order to examine CSR disclosure effect to banking financial performance. This research used data of year 2005 – 2008 by total sampling of 40 companies including 10 banking company which registered within BEI during 2005 – 2008. This research result couldn’t prove that both research hypothesis were CSR disclosure have positive influence to ROE company one year forward (ROE + 1) and CSR disclosure have positive influence to abnormal return because whether using regression I and II models, showed that CSR disclosure have no influence concerning value of ROE + 1 and Return. This case proved that investor still shorterm oriented and didn’t consider of CSR disclosure to invest within banking company on 2005 – 2008. Issued of UU No 40, 2007 infact have no effect to CSR disclosure activity within banking company.
