Diversifikasi Pengembangan Pertanian Di Wilayah Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit dalam Mendukung Pengembangan Wilayah di Kabupaten Bengkulu Utara

Abstract

North Bengkulu regency is relatively poor regency, so that the necessary acceleration of development. One step that can be taken is to develop palm oil commodities. Reasons for choosing these commodities are the prospects of CPO is very good in the world market and also the number of possibe development of products derived from palm oil. The aims of this research is to examine the development opportunities of oil palm plantations in North Bengkulu to: a) the strengthening of economic activity: agriculture and industrial activities, b) support the development of folk peasant, c) reducing regional disparities: the spread of population, social infrastructure, services and physical infrastructure. In this study discussed the development of oil palm plantations covering polyculture versus monoculture in the regency, farmers and land, land certification and sustainable palm oil, palm oil plantations picture in North Bengkulu, analysis of potential districts for development of oil palm plantations, analysis of infrastructure conditions (CPO factory and road) and organizational palm farmers. There are several scenarios that can be done in the development of this oil. These scenarios are: a) have a population density below 100 km2 under, b) availability of land has a high enough, c) ownership and productivity of land is high enough, d). one location/close to large plantations.
