Abstract

The study on microstructure of Cu-Zn brass alloy with sample combination percentage 60%Cu-40%Zn, 6%Cu-35%Zn, 70%Cu-30%Zn has been investigated. The Cu-Zn washed and crushed to be from powder. The powder then characterized using XRD to determine its crystal structure and particle size of Cu-Zn. The observation results that crystal structure of Cu-Zn is cubic with the lattice parameters a = 2.948 Ǻ. From XRD analysis, the particle site of Cu-Zn decreases with increases of the Zn jn the alloy.
