Kesesuaian Kompetensi Pendidikan SMK dengan Pengembangan Potensi Ekonomi Daerah di Kabupaten Wonogiri

Abstract

Nowdays, labour problems became great challenge in national level. The basic problems of labour in Indonesia is unemployment. It is caused by the increase of the new employees whitch is not balance with the growth of productive work field, and it happens every year. The number of unemployment in Wonogiri reaches 31.516 in 2008. This problem accurs since most of vocational schools have the same programs which couse the graduate students have similliar skill so the competition to get job is getting harder. As the result, most of them go to the big cities to get job. Meanwhile, the other sectors, like agriculture, fishery, and mining are lift. The objective of this research is knowing the appropriatness of the program and skill competences in exsisting vocational education with the purpose of regional development potency in Wonogiri. Through this research, it is to hoped appropriatness of the program and skill competence in vocational school with the need of real work field that is available in that area and also the development polity in Wonogiri.
