Abstract
A designing and realizing microcontroller AT89S51-based greenhouse plant watering system has been successfully done. The result was obtained as resistance of varied soils which function was as setting point in monitoring and measuring resistance of soil, and also determining water-need rate of soil. The result was shown on seven segmens and computer monitor using Borland Delphi 7.0 interfacing program. Ths system consists of hardware and software set. The hardware consists of sensor made of a pair of electrodes which function is to detect excistance of soil resistance. The electrodes measure resistance based on variable setting point and the soil property. Output signal of the sensor is transferred to ADC system and then processed by microcontroller. The microcontroller has function to process data to control pump movement according to given setting point and then transfer the data to computer for soil resistance monitoring need. This system has been realized and able to work well, able to detect soil resistance according to given setting point.
