Abstract
A reseach has been carried out to find the heavy metals contents of texstil industry waste in the stream flow in Kaliwungu, Kendal with Neutron Aktivation Analysis. The reseach was carried out in BATAN Yogyakarta from April 2007 to June 2007. The object in this reseach were liquid waste andsediment or solid waste taken from the stream flow of textile was disposal in Kaliwungu, Kendal. The activation was carried out using Lazy Susan irradiation facilities, Kartini reactor for six hours. The counting used spectrometer-V detector HPGe COAXIAL for 300 second. The qualitative analysis shows that heavy metal identified was chromium in the solid saple, while quantitative analysis shows that amount of chromium in the solid sample was(304,406 ± 68,731) ppm. Its accuracy was 78,11%.
