Abstract

The change of refractive index in a transparent materials caused by magnetic field has been measured using Michelson interferometer method. Transparent materials used in the experiment is AgBr thin film with 8,01.10-5 m in thickness . External Magnetic field which applied to the samples in orde 182 mT in solenoida and generated by conducting the alternating current. To be observe the change of refraktive index due to the change of B, the number change of fringes is calculated. The laser used by He-Ne laser by l = 632,8 nm and output power 1 mW. The result show that in AgBr thin film it indicates change of refraktive index shown by degradation number of fringes pattern after affecting the external magnetic field. Ever greater of given magnetic field will smaller of fringes pattern.
