Abstract
Describing the earth’s subsurface condition using 3D PSDM requires an appropriate interval velocity model building. The interval velocity model gained from RMS velocity conversion still needs to be improved. The residual depth moveout horizon based tomography is used for this process. Residual depth moveout horizon based tomography is one of global tomography methods used to correct erroneous travel time along the depth horizon by analysis iteration as many as ten times (in this research). Residual depth moveout analysis is carried out by picking out semblances, the result of which is used as tomography input. Iteration results show that the well markers used as QC parameters tied well with 3D PSDM only after the tenth iteration. Also, picking results indicate that residual depth moveout semblance oscillates near zero, that is, the error of The chosen interval velocity minimizes. The result of this tenth 3D PSDM iteration is way much better than its 3D PSTM counterpart.
