Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan tugas akhir ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik dua pompa yang memiliki spesifikasi berbeda jika dirangkai secara seri, dengan fluida kerja air. Variasi kapasitas diperoleh dengan cara mengatur pembukaan katup buang dari 100% sampai 20%. Dari hasil Pengujian karakteristik pompa IDB-45 dan IDB-35 diperoleh head maksimal 83,69 m pada laju aliran 4 L/min dan head terendah 3,976 m pada laju aliran 41 L/min. Dari hasil percobaan disimpulkan bahwa pengoperasian pompa secara seri diperoleh head pompa besar dan laju aliran lebih rendah. Kata kunci : Rangkaian seri, karakteristik pompa, laju aliran, head, air. The aim of this test to know the charactheristic of two different spesification pumps arranged in series, using water as working fluid. Capacity variation can be obtained by throtting discharge valve from 100% until 20%. From result of test of charatheristic pump IDB-45 and IDB-35 the test result showed that maximum head is 83,69 m while capacity is 4 L/mimute and minimum head is 3,976 m while capacity 41 L/minute. From the result of test can be concluded that the series pump arrngement produces a bigger head pump and lower capacity. Key word : series formation, charactheristic of pump, capacity, head, water.
