Abstract

Tugas akhir ini dibuat guna mengetahui karakteristik pompa sentrifugal yang disusun secara paralel dengan spesifikasi sama (IDB-35). Pengujian ini menggunakan jenis fluida air. Untuk mendapatkan kurva karakteristik pompa dapat dilakukan dengan cara mengatur debit melalui pengaturan pembukaan katup. Dari hasil Pengujian karakteristik pompa menggunakan fluida air pada susunan paralel dengan spesifikasi sama dapat diperoleh data sebagai berikut : debit maksimal 62 L/min dengan head total 3,262 m dan debit terendah 6 L/min dengan head total 42,7115 m. Dari hasil pengujian dapat disimpulkan bahwa debit pada susunan paralel lebih besar daripada susunan tunggal, karena pada susunan paralel kedua pompa sama-sama menghisap. Kata kunci : Pompa Sentrifugal, kurva karakteristik pompa, debit, head. The final assignment is made to determine the characteristics of centrifugal pumps in parallel arrangement using two same specification pumps. Working fluid is water. Pump characteristic can be obtained by regulating the flow through the valve opening operation . The test result showed thad the maximal capacity is obtained by the following data: maximal capacity is 62 L/ minute while head is 3,262 m and lowest capacity is 6 L/ minute while head is 42,7115 m. From these test result can be concluded that parallel arrangement produces greater head than a single arrangement, because in the parallel arrangement two pumps suck equally.
