Abstract

Tujuan pelaksanaan tugas akhir ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik pompa sentrifugal ( IDB-45 dan IDB-35). Pengujian dilakukan dua tahap. Pertama, pengaturan pembukaan katup tekan dari 100% sampai 20%. Kedua, pengaturan putaran impeller dengan menggunakan inverter dimulai dari frekuensi 50Hz sampai 10Hz. Fluida yang digunakan adalah air biasa. Dari hasil Pengujian dan analisa data dapat disimpulkan bahwa, pada pengaturan katup tekan, debit semakin besar maka head yang dihasilkan semakin kecil sehingga daya yang dibutuhkan motor semakin kecil. Sedangkan pada pengaturan frekuensi, semakin tinggi putaran maka debit, head daya motor,dan efisiensi juga semakin tinggi. Kata kunci : pompa sentrifugal, kurva karakteristik pompa, debit, head. The aim of this final project to know the charactheristic of centrifugal pumps (IDB-45 and IDB-35). Testing was done in two stages. First, varying the discharge valve opening range from 100% to 20%. Second, varying speed rotation of the impeler by varying the frequency of the inverter from 50Hz to 10Hz. The fluid used in the testing apparatus is water. From the result of testing and data analysis can be concluded that, while varying the discharge opening, the greater fluid flowrate produce, so the power is nedded the motor is smaller. While varying speed rotation of the impeler is higher, so the flowrate, head, motor power, and efficiency is also higher. Keywords : centrifugal pump,pump characteristic curve, flowrate, head
