Abstract

Study of influence sintering temperature hull rice as material for fabrication porous silica membrane. Sampels of cleaned and dried hull rice were heated for 3 hours in flame to form a blackrice husk coal which was then ashed at various temperatures (600, 800, and 1000oC) for 2 hours. The result ash was characterized with XRD for crystal structure from silica, the best quality and grain boundary of silica. Identification of contained silica with the EDX and characterized morfologi of silica with SEM. The result showed that crystal structure of silica is a fcc. The best quality of silica showed at value FWHM. It were also observed that an increase of ashing temperature 600oC, 800oC, 1000oC result increase in cristalinity of the rice husk. The of XRD showed that increasing of ashing temperature result in a increase grain boundary of silica . The result showed that hull rice from 1000oC contained about 41,58% silicon and 56,57% oxygen.
