Abstract
The aims of the research was to identify the proccesing method of sugarcane top and its utilization in rations using in vitro method. The research consisted of two steps. Firstly, proccesing of sugarcane top, and secondly its utilization in the rations in order to determine the best proccesing method of sugarcane top. The treatmens were arranged: R1= sugarcane forage without any proccesing, R2= sugarcane forage proccesed by using ammoniation method, R3= sugarcane forage proccesed by using ensilage method, R4= sugarcane forage proccesed by using hydrolysis method with NaOH Based on the first step, the ammoniations had better effect than that other tratments. To determine the effect of its utilization in rations, the treatments were arranged : R0 = 70% concentrate + 30% grass R1 = 70% concentrate + 20% grass + 10% ammoniated of sugarcane top R2 =70% concentrate + 10% grass + 20% ammoniated of sugarcane top R3 = 70% concentrate + 0% grass + 30% ammoniated of sugarcane top Based on the least significant different, the results showed that proccesing method had no significant effect on dry and organic matter, but had significant effect on rumen parameters. Based on rumen parameters, ammoniated treatment showed better effect than others. Based on polynomial orthogonal test showed that the utilization ammoniated in rations had linear curve on dry and organic matter. The equations were Y = 37,739 +0,094X and Y= 39,361 + 0,114X. Keywords: sugarcane top, ammoniation proccesing
