Abstract

Penyakit malaria di indonesia sampai saat ini masih merupakan masalah kesehatan masyarakat.oleh karena itu perlu pencegahan yang komprehensif.Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi dalam pencegahan penyakit malaria di antaranya adalah praktik kader malaria.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peranan kader malaria dalam pencegahan dan penanggulangan penyakit malaria,serta mengetahui faktor-faktor pendorong dan penghambat praktik kader malaria dalam pencegahan dan penanggulangan penyakit malaria. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif.Responden penelitian ini adalah kader di Desa Kalirejo Kecamatan Kokap Kabupaten Kulon Progo yang menjadi kader malaria tahun 2002.Data di kumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan diskusi kelompok terarah.Data di analisis swecara kualitatif dan mengikuti pola pikir induktif,yaitu pengujiannya bertitik tolak dari data yang telah terkumpul kemudian dilakukan penarikan kesimpulan.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kader malaria berperan dalam memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat,membantu petugas dalam penyemprotandan larvaciding,menggerakkan masyarakat dalam PSN,ikut aktif dalam penemuan penderita dan mengambil darah penderita,merujuk penderita,mengawasi pengobatan dan membuat laporan kegiatan.Faktor-faktor pendorong kader malaria adalah:a.Adanya dukungan dari keluarga,tokoh masyarakat,koordinator kader dan dukungan dari kepala puskesmas.b.Pengetahuan dan sikap kader malaria.Faktor-faktor penghambat kader malaria adalah:lokasi yang sulit di jangkau,transportasi sulit,persediaan peralatan belum mencukupi,sarana tidak ada,honor/rewardyang masih sedikitatau terlalu kecil.Upaya pemecahan masalahnya adalah:dengan pendekatan inter personal,honor/reward bagi kader di usahakan akan di tingkatkan,sarana akan dilengkapi. Kata Kunci: Faktor pendorong,faktor penghambat, praktik, kader malaria THE SUPPORTING AND RESISTING FACTORS OF THE PRACTICE OF MALARIA CADRE IN PREVENTING AND OVERCOMING THE DISEASE AT THE VILLAGE OF KALIREJO,KOKAP DISTRICT,IN KULON PROGO REGENCY,2002 In Indonesia "malaria" belongs to oneof the serious public health problem so far.Consequently it needs more comprehensive prevention.One of supporting factors in succeeding the program is the activerole of local malaria cadres. This research aims at identifying the respondent characteristics to check the role of malaria cadre in preventing malaria as well as to find the supportigand resisting factors for them in preventing and overcoming the disease.This research is qualitative one.Its respondents are both active and non-active cadres at the local area in the village of kalirejo,Kokap district,Kulon Progo regency. The technique used in getting the data are comprehensive interview and purposeful group discussion.There fore the data will be qualitatively and inductively analyzed.Hence the assessment and the conclusion are based on the collected data. The result of this research shows that: 1.The roles of the local malaria cadresare as follows: a.Giving information about disease(malaria)to the public. b.helping the medical officials in fogging and larvaciding programs. c.Motivating the public in"PSN". d.Actively finding the patients and their blood samples. e.Observing and supervising the patients. f.And making the journal of their own activity. 2.The supporting factors for this program are: a.The positive support from their own family,publicleaders,the cadres coordinator as well as the head of local public health centre. b.The knowledge and good attitude of the cadres. 3.The resisting factors for the cadres are: a.Remote places/areas are hard to reach by public transportation means. b.Insufficient medical equipments and facilities. c.Very small income. 4.The prospective solutions are as follows. a.The interpersonal approach. b.The increased income for the local malaria cadres. c.The improved training for them. d.The improved facilities and medical equipments.
