HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP IBU BALITA TERHADAP KELENGKAPAN IMUNISASI DPT DI DESA SURABAYAN KECAMATAN WONOPRINGGO KABUPATEN PEKALONGAN TAHUN 2003

Abstract

Keberhasilan program imunisasi DPT belum mencapai seperti apa yang diharapkan. Salah satu penyebab utamanya adalah masih banyak anak yang mengalami droup out pada pemberiaan vaksin ulangan. Untuk ini diperlukan kesadaran dari para orang tua agar anaknya mendapat imunisasi DPT lengkap. Kesadaran akan timbul bila didasari dengan tingkat pengetahuan yang baik tentang imunisasi DPT. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor perilaku ibu balita yang mempengaruhi kelengkapan imunisasi DPT pada anak. Metode penelitian ini adalah survei secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan Cross sectional.Hasil penelitian terhadap 65 ibu balita menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan ada hubungan yang bermakna dengan tingkat pengetahuan ibu balita tentang imunisasi DPT. Secara statistik ada hubungan yang bermakna antara tingkat pengetahuan ibu balita tentang imunisasi DPT dengan kelengkapan imunisasi DPT. Sikap ibu balita terhadap imunisasi DPT ada hubungan yang bermakna dengan kelengkapan imunisasi DPT. Tingkat pengetahuan ibu balita tentang imunisasi DPT pada umumnya dalam kategori kurang. Sedangkan ibu balita terhadap imunisasi DPT dalam kategori cukup. Untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang imunisasi pada umumnya dan imunisasi DPT pada khusunya perlu ditingkatkan penyuluhan imunisasi pada ibu-ibu balita melalui kegiatan Posyandu dan Kegiatan organisasi sosial kemasyarakatan yang ada didesa. One of the main reasons is that there are still many children who fail to follow the sequence of the immunization (droup out). The refore, the awareness of the parents to make sure that their children get a complete DPT immunization ai needed. This awareness will appear when they possess a good knowlegde about DPT immunization. This research aimed to know the behavioral factors of mothers, which affected the completeness of DPT immunization on children. The method of this study was descriptive survey through a cross sectional approach. The result of this research on 65 mothers showed that there was a significant relationship between the mothers'nowledge level with DPT immunization. Statistically there was a significant relatinship between the mothers' Knowledge level about DPT immunization with the fulfilment of DPT immunization. The mothers' knowledge level about DPT immunization was generally under the low category. While the attitude of mothers towards DPT Immunization was relatively adequate. To promote the knowledge about immunization on the whole, especiolly about DPT immunization, it is necessory to enhance the socialization, it is necessory to enhance the socialization of the immunization to mothers through posyandu (Intergrated Service Centre) and activities of social organizations in the village.
