APLIKASI WEBCAM UNTUK MENDETEKSI GERAKAN SUATU OBJEK

Abstract

During the time, webcam application is only used for recording and displaying an object, but yet never been used for another application such as security application which are used to detect a motion of an object. Webcam can not give information about the motion of an object wheter the object is passive or active. Because of that, a research for increasing system for it can detect a motion from image which had caught from webcam is needed to be done. This motion detection system of an object is working if the caught object has a changing position, and will automatically activate the alarm. This image processing method which used in motion detection is edge detection method, while for motion detection process, a process of pixel position comparison is used. From the research, it can be concluded that the result of webcam position and lighting has a big influence in object recognition. For this reason, webcam setting and a sufficient lighting is needed. Quality of a webcam is also influential to process the output image, especially for velocity motion object. Alarm will ring when there a motion of an object.
