Abstract

The Design Level Air Pollution Monitoring System (Flue Gas) COX/NOX with sensors TGS 2201 has been fabri cated. This design can be exploited for the government to be able to monitor levels of air pollution generated during production and the plant can be monitored directly by the government without having to visit the plant. The system consists of a series of gas sensors TGS 2201, the minimum system AT89S51 microcontroller, ADC circuit 0804 and RS-232 serial communication. This system works when there is gas content, NOX or COX. and surrounding sensors. Sensor circuit consists only of variables and RL intup sensors and 7 Volt 12 Volt DC. When there is gas or COX and NOX there will be a change in output voltage or output 1 and 2 on the sensor. Output voltage is entered into the ADC 0804 for the change to digital signals which then microcontroller send data to a computer via serial communication. Data is sent in accordance with the microcontroller input port. Computers process the data received from the microcontroller and displays the results through graphs, figures gas content in ppm, as well as indicator lights and Alarm. The system has been successfully realized and changes may be directed graphs, numbers and the gas content in ppm indicator lamp changes when the gas content and more. Figures gas content in ppm is consistent with the data sheets contained in the sensor.
