PERBEDAAN PERSEPSI SUAMI ISTRI TERHADAP KUALITAS PERNIKAHAN ANTARA YANG MENIKAH DENGAN PACARAN DAN TA'ARUF

Abstract

Interaction has ever done before marriage is one of the conditions that contribute prenuptial in shaping role expectations in marriage. In addition to dating, life partner search process can be done through ta'aruf. This process does not open the physical contact and requires each to not develop a sense of love before marriage. Associated with conditions that include the interaction of premarital couples before marriage, then the two ways or process becomes interesting to study. Which process that would givemore positive contribution to the quality of a marriage. Researchers want to know about the influenceof ta'aruf processin of marriage with knowingthe difference in husband抯and wife抯 perception of the marital qualitybetween couples who get married through the process of datingand ta'aruf. This study compares the result of the perception scale score on the marital quality between a marriage with dating and ta抋ruf. The subject is a citizen of the city of Semarang who had married each numbered 32 couples in each group, so that got 32 husbands and wifes who married by dating and 32 husbands and wifes who married by ta抋ruf. The statistical result of two independent samples t test showed significant difference in both groups of husbands and wives among the married group with the process of datingand ta'aruf. This is indicated by a mean difference of 6.875 in the group of the husband, with a probability value less than the level significant (p = 0.039, p <0.05). Differences in perceptions of the marital quality score is also shown by the tables of t values t = 2.00 which is less than the (0.05 (60th)), statistical t value (T amounted to 2.109 or t t table. The same is also shown o) o> by the group's wife, a mean difference of 10.3 with a probability value smaller than the real level (p = 0.034, p <0.05). The difference is also indicated by the value of t table (t = 2.00 is smaller than the statistical t value (t of 0.05 (60)) o) 2.165 or t t table. The two groups, both husbands and wives showed that the o> mean score of perception of the marital quality of husband and wife who married ta'aruf higher than the marriage through dating.
