The implementation of (CTL), will be perceived by students, primarily seventh graders. Students will evaluate and interpret these Contextual Teaching and Learning, the results will affect the interpretation of which owned an interest and student behavior. Students with high perceptions of CTL means it has an interest and a positive assessment of CTL. Positive assessment of Contextual Teaching and Learning raises student interest in learning mathematics. Interest in learning will encourage students to focus all his attention on matters related to learning mathematics. The population in this study is the seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 18 Semarang, which numbered 240 students. The sampling technique using cluster random sampling technique. Measuring instrument in this research is Contextual Teaching and Learning Perceptions Scale with a reliability coefficient of 0.938 and Interest in Mathematics Learning Scale reliability coefficient of 0.931. The results of this study were analyzed using simple regression analysis techniques. The results of this study is, perceptions of Contextual Teaching and Learning has a strong correlation with the interests in mathematics learning (rxy=0.772) with the effective contribution of 59.6%. So, the hypothesis expressing that there is a positive correlation between perception of Contextual Teaching and Learning with Interest in Mathematics Learning at seventh-grade of SMP Negeri 18 Semarang is proven (the hypothesis was accepted).
