Abstract
Ideology is commonly seen as a matter of politic regime. It is a very narrow view of point. Ideology neither only exists in the stage of nation or it works in political practices. It appears in our life—in the relationship of inter individual—and inscribes itself within society. Life with its truth and either its falsity is always represented by a subject, that is human being. Love, jealousy, hatred, murder and lies as depicted in the musical drama Metropolis Part II: Scene From A Memory, are the example of social problems which are the color of life. In this drama, the problem is caused by a person, The Miracle, who has ability to control the society and be the absolute Subject in social life. His attitude is not right and turns him onto an evil way. The crime he did was naturally caused by another person who is supposed to have a special relationship with him. Thus, the individuality of The Miracle will be the subject of this thesis in the line of discourse of an ideology. From those backgrounds, the research of the play is conducted in order to analyze individualism as an ideology as depicted in the attitudes of The Miracle.
