Aluminium is metal with unique properties. Light weight, high strength, and resistance to corrosion are benefits that make aluminium is now the second most used metal in the world. Copper(Cu) added useful to increase alloy strength but it can reduce ability to protect from corrosion. The alumionium alloy 2xx.x series is characterized by copper(Cu) as principal alloying element and amounts of other unsure as ingredients. The specimen is made by permanent mold casting with Cu added by 4%, 10%, and 33% variations. This then tested by compression test that mechanical test merely the opposite of the tensile test with respect to direction. The differences of Cu percentage intended to find effect of Cu added on Al-Cu alloy to its compression strength that proved by rising of alloy strength to hold compression load Cu added percentage.
