Abstract
The reengineering has been done for the prototype design and construction of automatic opening and closing the roof for drying process of production with sunlight. This system works to open and close the automatic roof to assist the production process, using the sun when the morning and at night or rainy day drying done using the dryer. This system consists of hardware and software. Hardware consists of sensors LDR(Light Dependent Resistor), rain sensor, the comparator (LM 339), microcontroller AT89S51,L293D motor driver, DC motor, relay and dryer. While the software on this system using assembly language which is implemented on the microcontroller. This system works based on the intensity of light on the sensor LDR (Light Dependent Resistor) and water on the rain sensor, microcontroller input is used to open and close the roof automatically. From the manufacture of prototype design and construction of automatic roof lid, it was found the following results, when the light and rain sensor is not wet then the roof will open and do not activate the dryer, but when light rain sensors are wet then the microcontroller will give orders to the motor DC driver L293D to close the roof and activate the relay driver to turn the dryer, while the dark and rain sensor is not wet then the microcontroller will give orders to the motor DC driver L293D to close the roof and activate the relay driver to turn on the dryer, and when dark and wet, the rain sensor microcontroller will provide command on a motor DC driver L293D to close the roof and activate the relay driver to turn on the dryer.
