Abstract
The design and realization of the plan light follower using Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensor with Atmega8535 microcontroller programming has been done . Light Follower Robot is a form of autonomous mobile robot which has a mission to follow a guide light which has been determined autonomously. The system consists of hardware and software. The hardware consists of Atmega8535 microcontroller, Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensors, a series DC motor driver IC L293D. Microcontroller software in this study made by using language C. This system works when pressed reset button on the microcontroller and microcontroller receives data from the Light Dependent Resistor (LDR) sensors, the microcontroller will send data to a DC motor driver L293D. After sending data to a DC motor driver, microcontroller motion control system of DC motor. This system has been realized and can move toward a DC motor which has been determined from the input sensor Light Dependent Resistor (LDR). Motor will turn left then going right motor will spin while the motor dies and vice versa.
