Abstract
This experiment is entitled “Fuel Saver Device Test on Gasoline And Methylated Spirit Engine Reviewed From Temperature “. One of the solution to save fuel is the use of alternative fuel and fuel saver device. The research is to find an alternative to petroleum. The experiment tested the use of Gasoline – Methylated Spirit mixed fuel with the percentage of Methylated Spirit (80%-20%) for Daihatsu Classy 1295 cc. The fuel saver device used is called “Elektrolizer HHO (Gas Brown)”. Such device has been commonly used lately.The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of the use of Elektrolizer HHO by not using it for mixed Gasoline – Methylated Spirit fuel, from the aspect emission gas temperature. The calculation included the consumption of fuel and air, rate of AFR, and the temperature of combustion. The result of the experiment was the decrease of fuel consumption by 13%. From the emission gas temperature increased by 0,4% to 4,7%, therefore, it decrease the viscosity of lubricating oil and increased the metal content. The conclution was drawn from the result of viscosity test.
