Abstract

The need of piping gas in crude oil and gas industry is required in the perfect quality of it’s piping gas mechanical strength. This thing has supported the piping industries to be able to provide qualified pipes which ready for nature phenomenon happened such as earthquake, liking. To meet the need of challanges, the pipe product of API 5L X52 series is expected to reduce the lose in gas and crude oil industry. Research that has been done to identify the quality of API 5L X52 pipes, is by finding out their manufacturing and metalurgy process. Researching through center weld and base metal are also expected to figure out the quality of Grain Size that influence the power of yield strength and piping qualitities, thus they can produce pipes that meet the need of API standard.
