Abstract

Centrifugal Blower is appliance used to produce air able to be conditioned. This report study about fluid flow simulation in centrifugal blower by using CFD (Compuational Fluid Dynamic). Target of which wish to be reached is to more accurate stream characteristic prediction and give analysis about speed and its pressure. To evaluate accuracy of fluid flow simulation hence result of analysis which is computing compared to data processing in laboratory. This report is focussed by two matter. First, angle corner variation of impeller to fluid dynamics and its fastly fluid flow. Second, focussed by comparison of obtained of experiment result and simulation. Simulation model blower by CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamic) using CATIA software as forming of frame early, then imported in GAMBIT for the giving of boundary condition and generation of mesh, then analyse and calculate at FLUENT by using equation of k- ε for prediction of computing efficiency and accuracy. Result of which is obtained at this research shall be as follows : usage of angle corner variation of impeller do not give effect degradation of rate flow mass, but causing the happening of make-up of value of mass rate flow, usage of impeller with ever greater angle corner variation of will result value of mass ever greater rate flow, usage of angle corner variation of impeller more addressed to increase performansi of blower so that when accelerate at full tilt, blower remain to in a state of stabilizing.
