Evaluation of implementing the activities at Maternal and Child Health Office especially in terms of the growth and development of a child as a part of the Baby and Mother Care Hospital Program at Sultan Agung Moslem Hospital, Semarang

Abstract

Sultan Agung Moslem Hospital decided the Baby and Mother Care Hospital Program in 2006. In year 2008, a new structure has been made. From year 2006 to 2008, an implementation of the program had not been conducted well. The services of a child’s growth and development at Maternal and Child Health Office are the part of the Baby and Mother Care Hospital Program. The services of a child’s growth and development consisted of monitoring a growth, determining a nutritional status and counseling, early detection and development stimulation, immunization, information dissemination of a child health, anthropometric measurements, a baby massage, consultation to a related unit (for example: a psychologist, a doctor, consultant for a lactase, etc). The aim of this research was to evaluate the implementation of the activities at Maternal and Child Health Office especially in terms of the growth and development of a child as a part of the Baby and Mother Care Hospital Program at Sultan Agung Moslem Hospital, Semarang. This was observational research using a descriptive method. Data were collected by in-depth interview to describe evaluation of implementing the activities at Maternal and Child Health Office especially in terms of the growth and development of a child. Subjects were the health workers at Maternal and Child Health Office and the team of the Baby and Mother Care Hospital Program at Sultan Agung Moslem Hospital. Sumber Utama : www.mikm.undip.ac.id
