Abstract
The permanent magnetic BaFe12O19 is used as magnetic recorder and absorber material. Fe ion subtitution by divalent cations such as Co, Mn and Ti was done to increase the magnetic properties of BaFe12O19. This research has been done using rietveld method by GSAS-EXPGUI software to find the structure and composition phases of BaFe12-xMnxTixO19 at various values of x (0; 0.5; 1; 2.5). Structural of BaFe12O19 was analyzed from the XRD data of BaFe12- xMnxTixO19 and than is refined by GSAS-EXPGUI. The result of refinement noticeable at listview which presents the structure, phase composition and lattice parameters. XRF spectrum was used to support the result of refinement. At all samples are founded a single phase BaFe12O19 as the main phase.Lattice parameters increase with the added value of x from the initial phase (x =0) as the consequence of differences ionic radii of the Fe and substituted ionic. Grain size decreased to the limit x = 1, but having that grain size is increase at x = 2.5.
