Abstract
The effect of nonlinear optics at glyserin has been studied especially for dependence of the change polarization on applied static electric field. External electrics field which used at this research was resulted from two parallel plates 5×3 cm, separate 2.5 cm and applied high voltage from 0 to 10 kV. Light sources which used in this research were red laser pointer (l =650 nm) and green laser pointer (l =532 nm). The sample was gliceryn with various concentration. Glycerin is divided into two conditions: disturbed and undisturbed gamma rays. The observed behavior is the change in polarization angle of laser light due to static electric field in the glycerin.Result of observation are glycerin solution disturbed gamma rays caused a change in polarization angle is greater than the undisturbed glycerin solution of gamma rays, in the same conditions (V provided, the type of glycerin solution is used) green laser that has a smaller wavelength, light polarization angle changes greater than the red lasers that have a larger ,the more concentration of glycerin solution causes an increase in the change of polarization angle
