Abstract

It has been done research about the effect of particle size of TiO2 to efficiency of dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The solar cell is constructed in sandwich system with collector electrode (TiO2), counter electrode (carbon), dye mangoes and electrolyte are located between the both electrode and TiO2 refined by ballmilling methode. Solar cell characterization has been done using particle size analyzer (PSA) for particle size TiO2 and XRay Diffraction (XRD) for crystallity size. Result characterization for PSA in powder TiO2 with milling during 1, 3 and 6 hour have got particle diameter 1067,6; 511,7; 354,4 nm. XRD pattern shows diffraction pattern which has the highest pick 2 at 25,30o; 37,79o; 48,05o; 53,89o; 55,07o; and 62,69o which appropriate with JCPDS number 21-1272 indicated TiO2 anatase. By diffraction peak and Scherrer equation, obtained crystal size is 32 nm. The research solar cell with particle size collector electrode (TiO2) at 1067,6; 511,7; 354,4 nm show solar cell efficiency at 0,003%; 0,006 %; 0,02% respectively which has maximum current and voltage at 0,004; 0,008; 0,008 mA and 37, 41, 127 mV.
