Abstract

Background : Breast Cancer is neoplasm disorders with highest mobidity and second highest mortality in the world. The AgNOR have been shown to reflect DNA transcriptional activity and also has been identified as a reliable factor of cell proliferation and in turn, of the malignant potential of a lesion. Green Tea Polyphenol known for its ability to inhibit the malignancy of a tumor due to its anticarcinogenic and sitoprotective effect. This experiment aimed to prove that administration of Green Tea Polyphenol can lower the AgNOR count of Adenocarcinoma mammae in C3H mice. Methods : Experimental study with post test only control group design. The sampels were 15 C3H mice. 15 C3H mice were divided into 3 groups, group K (control group, were only been inoculated with cancer cell), group P1 (administered with 0,5 cc Green Tea Polyphenol every day for 3 weeks and then were innoculated with cancer cell) group P2 (were innoculated with cancer cell and then after tumors appeared, the group were administered with 0,5 cc Green Tea Polyphenol every day for 3 weeks) Results : the highest AgNOR count was 266,6 (56,4) in group K ; 205 (14,9) in group P2, and the lowest 179,2 (22,6) in group P2, There was a significant difference in Histological grading between all groups (p=0,007). The AgNOR count was significant between Group K and P1 (p=0,006) and between group K and P2 (p=0,048). There was no significant difference between group P1 and P2 (p=0,517) Conclusion : The Administration of Green Tea Polyphenol can lower the AgNOR count of Adenocarcinoma mammae in C3H mice keywords : AgNOR count, Green Tea Polyphenol, breast cancer.
