PERBANDINGAN TIMBULNYA KEKAMBUHAN RINITIS ALERGIKA PADA PENDERITA YANG MENGGUNAKAN KASUR KAPUK DAN NON KAPUK (Telah Menjalani Imunoterapi minimal 1 Tahun di Klinik THT RS.Dr.Kariadi periode Januari 2006 - Desember 2006)

Abstract

Background : Prevalence of allergic rhinitis (ISAAC phase 3) in Semarang roundabout 18,6%(2002). House Dust Mites (HDM) have an important role because, it’s causing incidences of allergic reaction. The biggest HDM population was found especially in mattress kapok dust. Usage of kapok mattress can improve risk happened relapsing on patients allergic rhinitis. There are many patients still using kapok mattress Objective: This Research aim to know comparison incidences relapsing of allergic rhinitis on patients using kapok mattress and non kapok ( have experienced minimum immunotherapy 1 year) in clinic THT RSDK period of January 2006- December 2006. Method : This research is an observational analytic with cross sectional study. Research sample are 25 patients using kapok mattress and 25 patients using non kapok mattress on allergic rhinitis sufferer who have experienced minimum immunotherapy 1 year in clinic THT RS.DR.KARIADI period of January 2006 - December 2006. Intake data done with questioner. This Data will be processed using Chi-Square test and t-independent test. Result : Chi-square test showed the tendency incidences value of relapsing allergic rhinitis on patients using kapok mattress which more highly rather than patients using non kapok mattres p=0,023(p<0,05) and t-test of relapsing frequency in one year showed p=0,01 with the mean of kapok mattress group 8,72±3,985 times, more highly rather than non kapok mattress group is 4,96±3,116 times. Conclusion : There are frequency and tendency incidences of relapsing allergic rhinitis which more highly on patients with kapok mattress compared to patients using non kapok mattress in post immunotherapy patients..
