Abstract

Background : Monocrotophos is a kind of organophosphate pestiside that is working with inhibite cholinesterase enzym, so that acetilcholin can nott be hydrolyzed. That chemical substance come in to the body by mucosa, respiration system or disgestive system. Monocrotophos which is come in to the body orally will have first metabolism in the liver7 The liver that is infected will have damage (degeneration). The aim of this study is to know Balb/c hispatology description of giving manatocrophos orally by level. Methode : This experimental study used post test only conrol group design. Sample of the study are 20 Balb/c mice randomly devided into four group, 1 control group (K) dan 3 treatment group (P1, P2 dan P3) which is given monocrotophos 1/10x dosis letal, dosis letal dan 10x dosis letal by sonde. Observation was done 7 days. At the 7th day termination and liver taking was done. Then the observation of hispatology description was done . Result : The highest degenaration of cell of liver was in P3. The Kruskal Wallis test showed significant difference (p=0,000). The Mann Whitney test showed significant difference to K-P1(p=0,008), K-P2(p=0,008), K-P3(p=0,008), P1-P2(p=0,009), P1-P3(p=0,009), P2-P3(0,009). Conclusion : Giving monocrotophos by level orally to Balb/c mouse cause damage to the cell of liver as parenchymatous degeneration, hydropic degenaration and necrosis. Keyword : Monocrotophos, the cell of liver degenaration
