Background: The electric shock can result in injury or death. Conductivity of the water itself associated with a number of minerals or ionic concentration (conductivity of electrolytes), which is usually influenced by anion exchange, salinity, acidity (pH), conductivity. In general, electric shock affected directly are the muscles of extremities. This study aimed to analyze the different effects of exposure to electric current through water medium on the limb gastrocnemius muscle histopathological damage to the left front and left rear homolateral rats. Methods: The experimental research design with post test only design group. Samples of 24 male Wistar rats were divided randomly into four groups. K is a control group who were given only distilled water. X1 treatment group were given one-30mA electric current, X2 treatment group were given electric current 31-60mA, X3 treatment group were given 61-90mA electric current. X4 perlaukan group who were given electric current 91-120mA. After the rats were treated on the same day dikapitasi later gastrocnemius muscles of the front and rear left leg were taken and observed histopathologic picture. Results: The mean score hiperkontraksi gastrocnemius muscle (p <0.005). Mean gastrocnemius muscle hiperkontraksi X1 is 103.3 (front left) and 101.8 (left rear), X2 is the mean of 205.1 (left front) and 205.8 (left rear), X3 is the average of 268.3 (left front ) and 288.5 (left rear), X4 is the average of 342 (front left) and 376.8 (left rear). So in X1, X2, X3, X4 can be said is meaningless. Conclusion: The results of the X1, X2, X3 and X4 have the score was p> 0.005 Exposure to electric current so that the gastrocnemius muscles did not make the difference between the front left leg and left foot back a large number of rats hiperkontraksi muscle.
