Arginine could increase the number of leukocytes, neutrophils, limphocytes and monocytes is base on the book and the previous research. This research aim at knowing the influence of giving of the Valerian extract in a sub-chronic manner against the picture of blood of the bank of rat leukocytes wistar, especially the number of leukocytes, neutrophils, limphocytes and monocytes. Method: The experimental research with the plan post test only controlled group design. This research used 20 wistar rats as the sample that afterwards was divided randomly into four groups: one control group (K) and three treatment groups (P1, P2, P3).. K is the control not given the extract of valerian. P1, P2, and P3 given treatment group were given the extract amounted to 9 mg/the rat, 18 mg/the rat and 36 mg/the rat. The Valerian extract was given peroral for 12 weeks. In the 12th week was carried out termination, the sample of blood were taken to see the appearance of peripheral blood leukocytes samples. Result: The amount of data leukocytes, total lymphocytes and the number of monocytes used Kruskal-Wallis, while data on the number of neutrophils used test Annova Oneway. All data show the result where no significant differences between the control group (K) and treatment groups (P1, P2, P3) with p>0,05 in statistical test. Conclusion: Giving of the Valerian extract in a sub-chronic manner did not affect the picture of blood of the bank of rat leukocytes wistar. Keywords: valerian, appearance of peripheral blood leukocytes
